Today’s evening I was mulling over alignment of content on friend’s portfolio. After some failed iterations he was near giving up. But, as you propably guessed, you wouldn’t read this if we hadn’t managed to success. It’s all thanks to the brilliant idea that came up by accident.
open directoryYes, it is that simple. I don’t really like showing all dot-files by “hacking” system’s defaults - it’s a mess. Then, this solution saves life if you need the GUI simplicity for basic operations.

Update: I can imagine some systems that could highly benefit from this solution. Think of commercial content management systems with loads of statistics, plugins, switches… Updates subsystem could monitor these things providing not only info about changes in used components, but also news from your sales department (such as a new plugin). Fighting with spam? We’ve just released special tool… Just one click!
